The 1st Women’s Film festival held in Chennai from 1-8 March 2008 was a phenomenal success. It had an audience turnout of approximately 5000 people over 8 days. The 1st Women’s Film Festival was presented by InKo Centre in collaboration with the Women’s International Film Festival in Seoul (WIFF), the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and the National Film Archives of India (NFAI) along with a host of partners including key cultural organizations and national Embassies in India.


  The Women’s Film Festival focussed on a strong Korean and Indian section of feature films, short films and documentaries as well as a section on World Cinema in all three categories. A rich haul of films from approximately 25 countries were shown over 8 days.
