Whispers of Bloom
- A contemporary Korean art exhibition by Five Artists
Whispers of Bloom presents the works of five contemporary Korean artists who explore emotions, memories and the flow of nature through flowers and abstract landscapes. Through colour, texture and diverse visual languages, the artists express inner sensations and poetic impressions beyond visible scenery. The flowers and landscapes within the works expand into symbols of hope, contemplation, comfort and emotional resonance, creating a harmonious dialogue despite each artist’s distinct perspective. Held at The Gallery @ InKo Centre, this exhibition aims to offer a meaningful experience where audiences from Korea and India can connect through the universal language of art and shared sensibilities.
Choi Ye Won
Choi Ye Won is a painter from Gangneung, Gangwon-do, Korea, who studied Children's Art Education at Masan University. Her work captures the flow of the seasons, shifting light and fleeting moments encountered in everyday life. On the canvas, where chance and intention intersect, she visualizes inner memories and sensations, using mixed media to weave narratives inspired by nature and daily experience. Through her paintings, she hopes viewers will discover their own season of the heart and find comfort, warmth and poetic sensibility within it.

Kang Doo Yeon
Kang Doo Yeon is a painter from Sacheon, Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea, who translates impressions of landscapes and spaces into an abstract visual language. Through the interplay of colour, texture and negative space, the artist explores traces of memory and emotional nuances. Her work reinterprets familiar scenery through a renewed sensibility, inviting viewers to experience landscapes not as physical places, but as spaces shaped by perception, memory and feeling.

Participated in 10 Group Exhibitions

Kim Hey Sook
Kim Hey Sook is a painter from Sacheon, Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea. For the artist, painting is more than the act of recreating beautiful subjects; it is a confessional process of pouring profound contemplation, inner reflections and personal struggles onto the physical space of the canvas. Through her work, she transforms deeply felt experiences and emotions into visual narratives, creating a space where personal introspection meets universal human sentiment.
15 Solo Exhibitions
Participated in Over 300 Group Exhibitions
Serves as the Head of the KFAA Sacheon Branch and as an invited artist and juror
for major art exhibitions (2021–2023).
Kim Hwa Shim
Kim Hwa Shim is a painter based in Busan, Korea. Using raindrops as a recurring backdrop throughout her work, she reflects on the passage of time and the emotions that shape human life. At times, a gentle drizzle falls; at others, a torrential downpour. Yet within the canvas, a delicate flower endures and ultimately preserves its life. Through this imagery, the artist explores the challenges, resilience and renewal that define the human experience.
6 Solo Exhibitions
Participated in 16 Art Fairs
and more than 100
Special and Group Exhibitions
Park Young Ran
Park Young Ran is a painter from Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea, who studied Children's Art at Munsung University. Through her paintings, she seeks moments of stillness - not as the absence of movement, but as the point where emotions resonate most deeply. By simplifying color and form, she removes visual distractions and captures subtle emotional nuances within quiet spaces. In the lingering traces of light across the canvas, she explores the rhythm of life and a sense of inner balance.
Grand Prize Winner of the Gyeongnam Art Competition
Recommended Artist; 3.15 Invited Artist
Awarded the Grand Prize in the Korean Women's Contemporary Art Competition;
selected as a Recommended Artist and Invited Artist.
Vice Chairman, Public Art Department, Gyeongsangnam-do Branch of the Korean
Fine Arts Association (Masan)
A flower whispers before it blooms. The quiet stirring of a seed deep in the earth, the trembling of roots sensing the warmth of spring, a subtle vibration that is not yet visible and yet undeniably present. Whispers of Bloom is an exhibition that pauses to listen to precisely that moment.
The five contemporary Korean artists brought together in this exhibition do not regard flowers and nature merely as subjects of depiction. For them, flowers and landscapes are an inner language - a map of emotions that words alone cannot fully contain. The texture of the seasons, the temperature of light, the weight of colour - all of these seep and accumulate onto the canvas in each artist's own way, opening into a landscape that reaches far beyond what the eye can see.
Though the five artists each move in their own distinct direction, a common sensibility runs beneath the surface of their work: a sense of wonder before beauty, a quiet contemplation of life and a sincere desire to touch the hearts of others. This exhibition is a place where those desires meet in silence, gathered together within a single space.
InKo Centre is a place of exchange where the cultures and arts of Korea and India open toward one another. Though the two countries carry different histories and traditions, they have long resonated deeply through art. It is our hope that, through this exhibition, the sensibilities of both nations will once again meet in warmth.
Though our languages may differ, the emotion stirred by beauty knows no borders. It is our sincere wish that audiences from Korea and India may breathe in that shared emotion together with this exhibition.
